It is hard to describe the discomfort inside. Unrest. Confusion. Noise. Racket. The periods of my life when I can't seem to make head or tail of what's going on - the murky, muddy waters of confusion, when there just does not seem to be any rhyme or reason to my jumbled thoughts. Chaos, tumult, and unquietness. Disorder and disarray and dissonance. Maybe you happen to be there right now. The thoughts of your heart seem to be scrambled and jumbled - confused and perplexed.

Paul said: "Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world and is departed unto Thessalonica." 2 Timothy 4:10. Tracking down Demas in Thessalonica could be a bit of a problem. Maybe he has a suite on Wall Street. He is on-the-tear from morning to night. He is so busy. His schedule is jammed packed full. But assuming he could find it in his heart to sacrifice 15 minutes of his valuable time to grab a coffee with you, he would probably tell you about his hectic schedule, his business plans, strategic directions, goals and objectives, the stress of it all, a get-a-way Mediterranean cruise, his latest idea, and a recent purchase he made. Deborah was quite a woman. I read about her in Judges 4 & 5. She was one of the judges of Israel during a particularly dark period in their history. For 20 long years Sisera and his 900 chariots of iron had mightily oppressed the children of Israel. Deborah said enough was enough. It was time for action! She and Barak, her five star general, rallied many in Israel to fight against Sisera. Sisera was defeated. It was time to celebrate and sing. Deborah joined General Barak in a Victory Song of praise to the Lord. It would have been quite a duet!
