“It’s amazing. I heard him myself. It wasn’t trickery. He really did it. He can speak 6,912 different languages. Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish and English are the four biggies – but I asked him about some of the most obscure languages on the planet and he did it! He is a super polyglot. He blew me away!”

“I can’t believe it. He just started coming to the Youth Bible Hour. I can see him now coolly walking out of his house and getting into the Youth van. He seemed a little awkward carrying a Bible. It was the first one he ever owned. It’s so sad. I drove by the Collision Center to see the car. As the passenger he didn’t have a chance. What a tragedy.”

He was young, honest and smart. He built relationships easily and earned respect quickly. He was sensitive, helpful and modest - not a bit arrogant. He worked hard at every level and proved himself in every position he was given. He was dependable. And he loved His God.

How is the Gospel doing in your area? How many new families from the community over the past five years are now regular attendees? As an overseer in your local assembly, would you consider counting them up and sharing the number with the believers sometime over the next month and then ask them to pray for greater effectiveness in reaching the community with the Gospel?

“So you’re planning to leave?”

“Yeah, I’m clearing out. It’ll be good for me to get away from everything and learn to fend for myself and stand on my own two feet. I want to make a few fast bucks, pay off a few debts and buy some things. Then I’ll come back and settle down. Even Joseph in Genesis ended up far away from home. It didn’t look so great at the start but then he turned a corner. Everything eventually worked out for him and he got a good job.”

Bob is fed up with Myrtle. He says: “She never listens to me even though I’m in charge. She has no respect! I tell her what she needs to do but she just goes out and does her own thing. She ignores my advice.  And now, she’s trying to make herself scarce when I’m around. I’m going to give her a piece of my mind!”
