YOUR ONLY WAY TO GOD

THINKING POINT #1:

You are designed and made to have a personal relationship with God. The reality is there is a great barrier between people and God.

THINKING POINT #2:

The only thing God has against you or me is our sin. We can’t go to Heaven with our sin. The Bible says very clearly: “Your iniquities (sins) have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you…” Isaiah 59:2 ESV

THINKING POINT #3:

People try to build their own bridge to God by doing various things but the Bible makes it clear there is nothing we can do ourselves to bridge the distance between ourselves and God. Ephesians 2:8-9 says: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

THINKING POINT #4:

The only one who could span the distance was Jesus Christ. The wages of our sins demanded death. Jesus came to pay for our sins. The death penalty fell upon Him on the Cross. He became my substitute. The Bible put it this way: “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God…” 1Peter 3:18 ESV

THINKING POINT #5:

Jesus paid for your sins and mine completely and now because of His death on the Cross, God is able to offer you the free gift of eternal salvation by simply receiving Christ as your personal Saviour.

THINKING POINT #6:

Have you received Christ as your Saviour? The Bible says: “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 ESV
