Disasters,
wars, terrorism, and assassinations take their toll on money markets.
Before the London Subway multiple bombings, there was the Madrid
bombing. Prior to that there was September 11, 2001. Eighty years
earlier, attackers on horse and wagon parked near the office of JP
Morgan on Wall Street (New York City) and detonated a bomb. Dozens were
killed and hundreds were injured. Major world events affect the money
markets. Confidence either rises or falls.
Here is a limited sampling of a few major events over the past 90 years:

I
am thinking of a major event that could be just around the corner for
this world. The Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples that He would come
again. (John 14:1-3) Yes, after the death, burial and resurrection of
the Lord Jesus Christ, He returned to Heaven. For the record, there are
eye witness accounts of His ascension from this planet. (Luke 24:50-53,
Acts 1:1-11) But He is coming back again.
The
first thing that will happen in relation to His Return, is that Jesus
will come to the air and will remove every christian from Earth.
Christians who died over the centuries and those who are still alive,
will be instantaneously and secretly caught up together to meet the
Lord Jesus Christ in the air! You can read about this major world event
in the Bible, e.g. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
Cult leaders over the years have tried to pathetically capitalize on this Biblical teaching. Bizarre
beliefs and tragic outcomes have been the result of men and women who
in their darkness and sick minds satanically concocted a perverted and
distorted version of the “Jesus is returning” truth.
Maybe
you have read some of those bizarre and tragic stories of mass
suicides. Your thinking now is contaminated by their ludicrous claims –
so much so that maybe you are skeptical of the Biblical Truth that
Jesus is returning.
Friend,
whether or not you believe Jesus is returning, does not alter the fact
that He will return. The world has NOT seen the end of Him yet. The Cross was not the end of Jesus. Christ is alive and He has promised to return.
There
is a day (the date is unknown to any human being or religious group on
earth) when every Christian will disappear without notice. It will
start off like any other normal day. But within that 24 hour period,
there will be a world-wide disappearance of millions of Christians.
Every person who knows Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, will be
caught up to meet the Lord in the air.
Born
again corporate executives will disappear from board rooms. Christian
truck drivers, office receptionists, saved journalists, and store
cashiers will be here one minute and gone the next. Christians today
can be found in every sector of society – but on that eventful day, not
one Christian will remain on the job! They will be gone forever to be
with their Saviour and Lord.
Your guess is as good as mine as to how the Coming of the Lord (referred to as the Rapture) will affect the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the money markets around the world. I’m not so concerned about whether there will be panic selling of stocks or not. I am primarily concerned with the effect it will have on YOU!
Will you go when Jesus comes? Or will you be left behind? Everyone
who failed to trust Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour will be left
behind. Are you ready for His return? I am so thankful I am.
