Jesus Christ is Coming Back!

In just a little while the Name of Jesus will no longer be used as a swear word. Soon there will be no mockers blasting out their ridicule of the Christian faith. In the not too distant future every enemy, adversary, mocker and blasphemer of Christ will be silenced and judged.

After Jesus comes to the air to pick up the Christians (1Thessalonians 4:13-18) He will return to Planet Earth Himself. Between the pick up (known as the Rapture) and His physical return to this world there will be a time of unimaginable horrors. The Tribulation period of seven years will be marked by an escalating intensity.

When the awful judgments sent by God begin to fall on the planet, the horrors of September 11th, 2001 will seem like a drop in a bucket in comparison. The final showdown between a rebellious planet and Heaven is about to take place – before Christ reigns on Earth.

Fierce calamities will happen; more terrifying and more deadly than anything ever experienced before. The mother of all earthquakes will rock the globe. Bridges and skyscrapers, towering buildings and mammoth man-made structures in Sao Paulo, Seoul, Istanbul, Jakarta, Shanghai, Mexico City, Tokyo and Manhattan will be reduced to rubble.

This will be followed by a global storm of hail – 100 pounds in weight. It will pulverize the entire earth.

All the armies of the world will gather at Armageddon. Ultimately the fight will be against the returning Christ. The most sophisticated weaponry the world has ever seen will be sent there.

Exactly what it will be like, we don’t know. We can only imagine. Will it be a burst of light or a terrifying sound that will jolt the entire world to look up to the skies? Like a dazzling star crossing the sky – from the east to the west – suddenly, the skies are illuminated. A vast army mounted on white horses is descending out of the sky and a white horse is on the lead.

The Rider of the lead white horse is distinctly unique. Here is how He is described in the Revelation.

Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse!

The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True,

and in righteousness he judges and makes war.

His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems…

And the armies of heaven…were following him on white horses.

From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations,

and he will rule them with a rod of iron.

He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written,

King of kings and Lord of lords.

(Revelation 19:11-16)

Coming in overwhelming power and majestic might and dazzling splendor, followed by the troops of Heaven – a huge army descends through the skies. The Bible says He is coming with His saints. Yes, I will be with Him. Will you?

Imagine TV cameras and personal cell phones pointing up to the sky, tracking the descent of the Universal Sovereign – our Lord Himself and His Army. Every eye shall see Him. He’s coming with flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God. The Apostle Paul said He will consume His enemies with the spirit of His mouth and will destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2Thessalonians 2:8.

Although we will be with Him, we will not be fighting. He accomplishes the victory Himself. How puny the world’s rockets will be. How ineffective their missile shields will be. Their explosives, their tanks, their fighter jets will be like Lego toys and Tonka trucks.

The mighty Conqueror crushes every enemy and He ushers in a reign of unprecedented peace and prosperity on this Planet for one thousand beautiful years. He will reign.

As 2008 comes to an end – whose side are you on? Are you ready?

Walk carefully and closely with the Lord today.

Warmly in Christ

It is interesting to mote that although he(the Lord Jesus) will have an army of the Redeemed with him, he will not need them to accomplish the victory . Just as when he was recruiting this army when he redeemed them (us) from the curse of sin and death .He also accomplished that victory all by himself

When we consider the Saints that will be with the Lord Jesus and what they used to be : hell deserving sinners on the way to hell, transformed into Saints fit for God’s presence, by His precious blood shed on Calvary’s Cross .
Amazing Grace – how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me.
